In the second semi-final match, Karen Khachanov gave the tournament's No. 2 Alex de Minaur (AUS) no chance and won 6:2, 6:3.

Khachanov carried the momentum from his tournament win in Almaty unchecked this week. After his impressive quarter-final victory, in which he conceded just five games to Italy's Matteo Berrettini, Khachanov continued seamlessly against de Minaur.

Khachanov took a 1:0 lead right at the start of the match with a break, added another to make it 5:2 and then served out the first set with ease. It was a similar picture in the second set. It was only when Khachanov served for the match at 5:2 that the Muscovite was confronted with break points for the first time - the Australian finally converted the third and subsequently reduced the deficit to 4:5. In the end, it was not enough, Khachanov did not let anything happen in the next service game and converted his second match point after exactly 90 minutes, which earned him his second appearance in the final in a week. This is his first appearance in the final of the Erste Bank Open.
