The first day of play in the main competition will open at 2 p.m. with American J.J. Wolf and Czech Jiri Lehecka, followed by the first appearance of the tournament's No. 8 Karen Khachanov against Roman Safiullin.
Two Austrians in action
Not before 5:30 p.m. Sebastian Ofner will face the 2021 Erste Bank Open winner Alexander Zverev. The German is of course the clear favorite, but Ofner can rely on the support of the crowd in the Wiener Stadthalle.
Filip Misolic is also counting on that in the last match of the day. The Styrian made it into the main draw through qualifying and will have to face Cameron Norrie of Great Britain in his first round match.
Dominic Thiem will play his first-round match against Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas on Tuesday, not before 5.30 p.m.
