At “Magic Moments in the City presented by Erste Bank” on October 17, you can pick up a tennis racket on mini-courts in front of the breathtaking backdrop of Vienna City Hall - free of charge and without registration. There will also be a tournament organized by e|motion and ÖTV for all ambitious amateur players.

Tennis fans should mark this date in their calendars: on October 17, everyone can feel like a tennis star at “Magic Moments in the City presented by Erste Bank” on Rathausplatz. Whether children, teenagers, adults or wheelchair tennis players, the five mini tennis courts are open to everyone. Shorter rackets and softballs guarantee fun for everyone, while the Red Bull event car, DJ, food trucks and atmospheric lighting by Lumagica create the perfect ambience.

From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., everyone can show off their skills; rackets and balls will be provided. Between 5 and 8 p.m., there will also be a tournament in which 48 amateur players will compete for victory and great prizes. The main prize for the winner is a meet & greet with a player from the Erste Bank Open on the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel on October 18! There will also be a raffle with prizes including VIP tickets for the Erste Bank Open 2024. Here you can already book your court online in advance.

Registrations for the tournament are now open at www.oetv.at, registration deadline is October 14, 2024 at 12 noon. The game will be played in a tie-break format up to 7 points, with the next point deciding at 6:6. The tournament will start with 16 groups of 3, so two matches per player are guaranteed. The final round with the 16 group winners will be played in a knockout format. All hobby and recreational tennis players aged 12 and over are eligible to participate; the first 48 registrations in the system are included, all others are placed on the waiting list.
